Monochrome photography has always held a certain respect amongst the public and the best in "Fine Art Photography". While I am not certain that is true, the abscence of color forces the photographer to focus on composition and other graphical elements, enabling the message to be more focused.

Rollei 35

The Rollei 35 is an extremely small camera. It features a meter and a uncoupled viewfinder. In other words, you have to estimate the distance and set it. The meter takes a PX625 mercury cell. Unfortunately, this particular copy doesn't play well with new non-mercury batteries, so the meter is useless. The lens extends and then locks into place. The flap that you see in the inside shot holds the film very flat rendering very sharp shots.

This camera was a gift from my father.

This Canon AE-1 was a gift from my father. The all black body was highly coveted by my father because he just had something against chrome / steel bodies.

2009 NW Georgia Balloon Festival

Held in Menlo, Georgia, the NW Georgia Bolloon Festival featured many Hot Air Balloons from the Southeast United States. If you ever have a chance to go, I highly recommend it.
